The Yale Club of New York City

Designed by James Gamble Rogers and completed in 1915, The Yale Club of New York City is the world’s largest college clubhouse and a designated New York City Landmark. Following a 2011 conditions assessment report prepared by BFA and Fiskaa Engineering, the Club began implementing a ten-year masterplan. BFA has been engaged in a number of renovation projects, phased over several summers, including the Grand Ballroom, the Main Lounge, and the reconstruction of the historic retail storefront on 44th Street. Each renovation has included the installation of sprinklers, as part of a phased program to fully sprinkler the building - a particular challenge when dealing with historic interiors.

The restoration of the Main Lounge, shown here, was designed in collaboration with Kemble Interiors.
