Riverside Drive Penthouse, New York City
The Architect's own residence is a combination of two apartments atop
a landmark Art Deco tower. The renovation opened up the small rooms
into a flowing loft-like space. A new kitchen is screened from the
living room by a partial height wall. Oversized glass doors open onto
two large terraces with magnificent city and river views. The entire
apartment is rendered in just four materials: white plaster walls
and ceilings, white laminate cabinetry, stainless steel countertops
in kitchen and bath, and a blue-gray terrazzo floor throughout.
